Code Of Conduct
The trustees of conference wish it to be known that we have a responsibility to protect innocent people from the use of drugs, alcohol, smoking and any inappropriate sexual behaviour.
Smoking and vaping are discouraged at conference. The smoking or vaping of illegal substances (and the possession and use of illegal drugs) is prohibited and will result in removal from conference. The provision of vapes or tobacco to any person who is underage by any delegate is also prohibited and appropriate action (including removal from conference) will be taken against those caught doing so. There will be a designated area provided on the conference site for those who do wish to smoke or vape which we would encourage any delegates who do need to smoke or vape to use. There is absolutely no smoking or vaping allowed indoors or in any marquee.
We reserve the right to involve the police or remove from Quinta those who are found to be involved in activities which are illegal or fall outside what is acceptable behaviour for the conference.
In order to ensure the safety of delegates, we will be requiring all delegates at conference to wear a wristband whilst on site. All delegates will be required to wear a wrist band to gain entry to meetings and activities at conference.
There is an expectation among the trustees that all delegates at conference (including Youth and children) will attend the appropriate meetings.
Anyone under 18 must be booked in with a responsible parent or guardian. This parent or guardian must be over 25 and be expected to take full responsibility for them during the week, this includes the responsible adult staying in immediate vicinity of the under 18. An exception is made for those under 25 with young children.
First Aid
We do not provide medical care on site. In the event of illness delegates need to contact the local medical services; telephone numbers are in Quinta Hall.
Support For The Disabled
We are committed to making activities and facilities accessible to all people of varying abilities. For those requiring specialist help, please contact the booking secretary on 07948 497751.
If you are the parent of a child with special educational needs (SEN), no matter how mild, please note this in your booking or email bookings@newlifeconference.co.uk – this will help the children’s group leaders to plan well.
Safeguarding Policy
All persons who will be working with children or youth must ensure that they have a current DBS certificate. Please contact Richard Higgs before 31st May.
To ensure a safer conference for all, the trustees require that all delegates wear the wristband supplied in their welcome pack at all times. Delegates will not be permitted to attend meetings without it, so if you lose your wristband please come to the conference office to report the loss and acquire a replacement.
