There will be Bible Study sessions on the subject of #Authenticity lead by Matthew Skirton on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, followed by a choice of four seminar sessions with time for questions during each session. On Sunday morning and each evening throughout the week, there will be worship and ministry.  With a focus on mission on Wednesday.

Authenticity is defined as the quality of being real, true or genuine. In our day when we are bombarded  by fake news, and truth has become relative – what is true for you might not be true for me – this quality is of vital importance for our Christian life and witness.

Authenticity in Public Service

Working in the public arena and dealing with people all the time presents great opportunities for living out the gospel by the calibre of one’s life and witness.

Sarah Chinnaraja

Tuesday & Thursday 11:30am
[Main Marquee]

Authenticity in Business

Many people would think it impossible to be both a Christian and a person in business; they would believe them to be mutually exclusive! However many of our well known brands e.g. Hartley, Heinz, Tropicana, were created and established by Christians. This seminar will consider how Christian values can operate in the world of business.

Authenticity in Education

Today we see the constantly new issues that our children and their teachers grapple with day by day. They handle a changing curriculum, deal with different values, and are under pressure to compromise their Christian beliefs.

Authenticity in our Identity

People today are crying out for identity. There are so many voices trying to be heard, not least through social media. What does it mean to be real? Who am I? Why am I here at all? Where do I get my identity from?

Tuesday & Thursday 11:30am
[Quinta Lounge]

Authenticity in a New Environment

Moving into a new environment like university, a new job, or a new location of work, brings massive challenges. How can one be prepared for such change? How do we establish our identity as a Christian in reality, being different but being normal?

Authenticity in Ministry

We live in an age of much confusion as we see high profile preachers and leaders fall into error, or worse, sin. In this seminar we seek to find Biblical strategies to prevent such things happening, and to find keys that will safeguard the purity of the ministry.

Tuesday & Friday 11:30am

Authenticity in the Family

Most of us are known best in the context of our family. If one is unmarried there will still be relationships where one will be seen close up and life will be worked out in ordinary matters. Family life brings the opportunity of modelling true Christian character to children and young adults in the presence of everyday stresses and joys.

Authenticity in Private Life

Oswald Chambers says: “The measure of the worth of our public activity for God is the private profound communion we have with Him.” We are never greater than what we are in private. Ultimately it is in private, before God, that makes us authentic people, true men and woman of God.

Meetings.

An early-morning prayer meeting is held each day from 07:15-08:00 in the lounge in Quinta Hall.
